There’s been a notable change in the rhetoric of US President Donald Trump in recent times, specifically concerning India. After implementing tariffs, Trump has described PM Modi as a good friend, seizing every opportunity to commend him. The response from PM Modi has now arrived. He stated that he deeply appreciates and fully reciprocates President Trump’s positive assessment of the relationship and sentiments. According to him, India and the US share an incredibly positive, visionary, comprehensive, and global strategic partnership.
During a press conference, the American President stated that he and Modi will always be friends, highlighting Modi’s stature as a great Prime Minister. He emphasized the special relationship between India and the US, stating there was no cause for concern.
