
A Delta Airlines flight, en route from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam, was forced to make an emergency landing in Minneapolis following a bout of severe turbulence. The flight, carrying 275 passengers and 13 crew members, experienced significant turbulence during its journey. Flight DL56 departed Salt Lake City Airport at 4:30 p.m. local time. According to reports, the aircraft descended 1,000 feet before the emergency landing, which occurred around 7:45 p.m. local time. Following the landing, 25 individuals were taken to local hospitals for medical attention. Passengers recounted that the initial turbulence caused flight attendants to lose their footing, with subsequent turbulence becoming more severe. Flight tracking data indicates the aircraft dropped from an altitude exceeding 38,000 feet to 35,775 feet in approximately 90 seconds. The airline confirmed the safe landing and the provision of medical care to those affected.
