President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for a firm approach, using the “language of force,” towards Russia, as he believes it’s the only way to be understood. This message was conveyed through a video on X, emphasizing the importance of this approach in upcoming international interactions. Zelenskyy is highly anticipating the June summits, particularly the G7 Summit in Canada and the NATO Summit in the Netherlands, and is working to ensure they yield concrete results. He highlighted that several key meetings and negotiations are scheduled to take place in Ukraine in the coming weeks. Canada will host the G7 Summit from June 15-17, 2025, and Prime Minister Modi has been invited to participate. Zelenskyy also discussed the failed prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia. He stated that Ukraine is working to secure the release of Ukrainian POWs and the return of fallen soldiers, while also noting that Russia has not yet provided the complete lists for the exchange as agreed upon in Istanbul. Zelenskyy criticized Russia for attempting to manipulate the situation into a political and informational game, and assured that Ukraine is working towards resolving it.
