India used the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to counter Pakistan’s aggressive statements, highlighting Pakistan’s internal problems. Kshitij Tyagi, an Indian diplomat, addressed the council and raised the issue of Pakistani military actions against civilians in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. India asserted that Pakistan should focus on resolving its internal issues first, particularly its economic crisis and human rights record, before criticizing others. Tyagi noted that Pakistan could only improve its economic situation if it stopped bombing its own people.
India accused Pakistan of abusing the council by making unfounded and provocative statements. Counselor Kshitij Tyagi, representing India at the 60th session in Geneva, stated that Pakistan should prioritize its collapsing economy, reform its military-dominated politics, and improve its human rights record. He emphasized that the Pakistani delegation repeatedly abused the forum by making baseless statements against India, which is a diversion from their own internal issues.
