A recent video originating from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) has put Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) under intense scrutiny following a deadly blast in Delhi that claimed 12 lives. The video, circulated on Wednesday, appears to show LeT terrorists celebrating during a meeting, receiving floral tributes from their operatives. This development has led Indian authorities to explore a possible link between the PoK gathering and the terror strike in Delhi.
The footage reveals an atmosphere of merriment amongst the militants, raising alarms within Indian security circles. The timing of this celebration, shortly after a major terror incident in India, is considered highly suspicious. The Indian government has officially designated the Delhi incident as a terror attack and has pledged to bring all those responsible to justice.
According to intelligence inputs, the meeting took place in Kotli, PoK, and was attended by senior LeT figures, including Abdul Rauf and Rizwan Hanif. Rizwan Hanif, serving as the deputy chief of LeT’s PoK operations, is known to be a key liaison between Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) operatives. This purported link is of significant interest, as initial leads in the Delhi blast investigation have suggested connections to JeM.
Adding to the concerns, Hanif also leads the Hilal-ul-Haq brigade, a joint LeT-JeM formation that operates publicly under the banner of the People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF). The implications of this PoK meeting are being thoroughly investigated, with security agencies aiming to uncover any direct or indirect involvement in the Delhi blast and understand the operational dynamics of these terror outfits.
