Vietnam is preparing for the arrival of Typhoon Kaziki, this year’s most formidable storm. The typhoon is heading towards the central coast, with sustained winds reaching 175 km/h. In response to the impending danger, authorities have closed down airports and schools across the nation. Flight operations have been severely impacted, with Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet canceling numerous flights. Evacuation orders have been issued for a large segment of the population, with 586,000 people in four provinces being relocated. More than 150,000 families from various areas are seeking safe havens. The typhoon is progressing through the South China Sea, and heavy rain has already fallen in coastal areas. Restrictions on maritime activities have been implemented in multiple provinces. A significant number of rescue workers have been mobilized to facilitate relief operations.
