A youth was shot dead on Sunday night on NH 24 (Delhi-Meerut Expressway) in Ghazipur area of East Delhi. As soon as the police received the information about the incident, she reached the spot and sent the body of the young man for postmortem and started investigating the case. Various police teams of the district are investigating the matter. The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Rohit, who was the son of late Ajab Singh and was a resident of G-42, Ghazipur village, Delhi. After the murder, the relatives of the deceased and local residents have blocked the Delhi-Meerut Expressway.

The relatives of the deceased have jammed and demonstrating the arrest of criminals by jamming near the petrol pump of Ghazipur village. During this time slogans are also being raised against the police. According to preliminary information, the young man has been murdered due to protesting against drugs, but the police is still avoiding making any comment in this case.

The police have registered a case under the murder and Arms Act in this case. According to officials, the investigation process continues to identify the killers. Footage of CCTV cameras located near the scene is being reviewed to identify the attacker. The police is trying to know which route the attackers reached the spot and in which direction did the incident run after the incident. Currently, the reasons for the murder have not been ascertained and the police is engaged in identifying the deceased.

Recently, Delhi Police arrested four persons in the murder of a 20 -year -old youth in Kailash Colony on 7 March. During the investigation, it was revealed that the young man was murdered by his brother -in -law and his associates, as he misbehaved with his wife, who is the sister of an accused.
On March 7, the police came to know that the body of an unknown youth has been found in the bushes of an empty land in Kailash Colony, Delhi. The deceased had bruises on the neck and his face was in a distorted state. Police has registered a case under Section 103 (1)/3 (5) of BNS in Jyoti Nagar police station.
