Ranchi: Counting of votes for Gandey by-election has been completed. In which JMM candidate Kalpana Murmu Soren from All India Alliance has won by a margin of more than 26 thousand votes. In the by-election, Kalpana Soren got 1,08,975 votes and BJP’s Dilip Verma got 82,492 votes. In which Kalpana Murmu Soren won by a margin of 26483 votes.
Along with this, in the Gandey by-election, former Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana Soren has defeated her rival Dilip Verma of BJP. Actually this seat had become vacant after the resignation of Gandey MLA Sarfaraz Ahmed. After which Gandey by-election was held along with the Lok Sabha elections.
