Ranchi: There was a fierce fight and firing between two groups at Akhra Chowk in Old Ranchi, the capital, on Wednesday night around 12 to 1 o’clock. Suddenly, the entire area of Old Ranchi and Bada Talab trembled with the sound of continuous firing.
There was a ruckus due to land dispute. In the firing from both sides, a young man is seriously injured. He was shot and was rushed to RIMS late at night. Here, after this incident that happened late at night, a crowd of people reached the spot. First people tried to calm the situation. After the young man was shot, people got angry.
Local people surrounded the police station till 3 am in the morning
Dozens of people reached the Kotwali police station at night and the DSP and the police station in-charge posted on night duty also tried to pacify the agitated people but people started fighting with each other in front of them. The police managed to pacify the situation with great difficulty but till 3 o’clock in the night the crowd was not ready to leave the police station and kept raising slogans.
