Ram did not help: BJP was asking for votes in the name of temple in Lok Sabha elections, BJP lost in Ayodhya itself

Ayodhya Lok Sabha Election Result. In the Lok Sabha elections 2024, BJP leaders across the country were seen seeking votes in the name of Ram temple, but BJP had to face defeat in Ayodhya itself. Ram temple used to be an issue in every election and this time too, after the inauguration of Ram temple before the elections, BJP leaders took full advantage of it. Despite this, the impact of Ram temple was not visible much. In Ayodhya, India Alliance candidate and SP leader Awadhesh Prasad defeated BJP candidate Lallu Singh by 54567 votes.

On the Faizabad Lok Sabha seat, BJP had once again nominated its sitting MP Lallu Singh from this seat, while Samajwadi Party had nominated its MLA Awadhesh Prasad. In this election, Awadhesh Prasad defeated Lallu Singh by 54567 votes. SP’s Awadhesh Prasad got 554289 votes. BJP’s Lallu Singh got 499722 votes. The first election on Ayodhya seat was held in 1957. Since then, Congress Party’s candidate has won here five times, Congress (I)’s candidate has won once, Janata Party has won from here once, Communist Party has won from here once, Bharatiya Janata Party has won from here five times, Bahujan Samaj Party has won from here once, and this time Samajwadi Party has won from here for the second time.

Let us tell you that as soon as the Supreme Court gave its verdict in favor of Ram Mandir in the year 2019, the construction of the temple started in Ayodhya. The temple was inaugurated on 22 January. But, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP candidate from Ayodhya also had to face a crushing defeat.
